Pretavoir were invited out to Portugal, Vilamoura, to view the new Autumn 2019 eyewear collections for Chloe and Salvatore Ferragamo. We were honoured to travel to the stunning Marina Resort to choose exciting new peices for the site for you guys. What a job- but someone has to do it, huh?
Marchon, the eyewear manufacturer of brands such as Chloe , Salvatore Ferragamo , Nike, Calvin Klein and Lacoste ( to name a few), were hosting the event and we know that by judging by previous some previous events we were in for a treat!
From the get go we were blown away by the breath taking view from the hotel entrance of the Marina. We were not only attending the purchasing event but we were lucky enough to be staying in the same hotel as well. Tivoli Marina Vilamoura hotel used the conference centre to house the extensive range of new collections from each brand Marchon had to offer us. The huge suite magnificently showcased the shop-fit like presentation rooms that we were shown round.
A highlight for us handsdown was the presentation room for Chloe, leaving all the other Marchon brand representatives green with envy, from its impressive backdrop of the Vilamoura harbourside- talk about a window with a view! We were in our element purchasing new merchandise in such a beautifully allocated space.
We were not disappointed with what Chloe had to offer - they certainly made it easy for us. Our favourite peice was the new Carolina Pearl model which they have created from one of our bestselling Chloe Carolina introducing one singular pearl into the circular filament gold detailing. Also not forgetting some accessory eyewear peices that feature in the Chloe collection too: the gold Chloe eyewear chain; to hang the eyewear of your choice from your neck for new trending fashion as well as convenience, and the Chloe Reese Jewel eyewear which attaches to the end of your frame and elegantly dangles like a pendant earring from the back of your ear- fancy !
After gorging on all the stunning opticals and sunglasses for all the brands we retired to the oudoor terrace overlooking the harbour, with some much needed cold drinks, before freshening up for the Salvatore Ferragamo wine tasting later in the day. The founders son bought a Tuscan property and renovated it into a winery which produces polished wines that boast finesse.
The chilled Rose seemed to be the popular choice cooling everyone from the hot afternoon sun which flooded the terrace. Ferragamo sunglasses and backdrop featured at the tasting which allowed us to gt some snaps with colleagues and newly formed relations. The festivity then moved to the hotel pool area where we were greeted with a cocktail and invited to lounge at the poolside befre our buffet banquet. Portugese food complemented the evening which was held in the hotels elaborate outdoor marquee, and then followed by an disco DJ which left us to dance the night away.
Last but not least, we couldnt leave without sampling the local portugese coffee - who could resist. I am still in love with the tea cup served with it.
We had so much fun choosing from the new collections and socialing with all the Marchon team and fellow buyers from all over the world.
